Based on Clear Packets experience in network architectures and deployment models, almost every organization segments the networks at a building or floor or some
other geographical or logical level such that no more that 1000 users are in a single segment. We suggest to deploy one FMS Gateway for each of these segments. FMS
Gateway has been tested for up to 64000 user environments.  Please refer to the Users' Guide for details on larger configurations.

Details on internet connections or website visits and number of connections:

Every website visit usually results in creation of two TCP connections - one from web browser to the website and one from website back to the web browser.
Websites with rich media content(s) or advertisements create many new connections when the main website is accessed and the average number of website
visit/employee presented above takes this into account. The numbers published above are based on results collected from various experiments and are
generally close to actual conditions but it is extremely hard to simulate all network configurations and conditions and individual experience may vary.

Recommended hard drive size is estimated to be sufficient to store internet access history data for 10 to 12 months for the respective configuration. Periodic
backup of the data is recommended. See Users' Guide for details.
